The following set of instructions
are taken using Front Page 2000. Earlier versions will differ slightly,
however, the methods are similar.
Step
1
Create your web page(s) with
Front Page
Unix hosted
sites:
make sure that your main/index document is index.html,
NOT index.htm.
To rename your index file, right click on the file "index.htm" in
the folder list and click "Rename" on the menu that pops
up. Change the filename to "index.html" (without the quotes).
A message will appear asking if you are sure you want to change the
filename extension; click the "Yes" button.
Windows hosted sites may use index
or default with the .htm, .html, or .asp extension. |
| |
|
Step
2
Save your web page(s).
|
| |
Step
3
Click the "Publish
Web..." item on the "File" menu. |
 |
|
Step
4
Where it says "Specify
the location to publish your web to",
enter your domain. For example, if your
domain is "mydomain.ca",
you would enter http://www.mydomain.ca.
|
 |
|
Step
5
Click the "Options" button
and click the "Publish all pages,
overwriting any already on the destination" radio
button (or other option if you choose.
)
|
| |
Step
6
Check the "Include subwebs" checkbox. |
| |
Step
7
Click the "Publish" button. |
| |
Step
8
If you are asked for a name
and password, enter your username and password
that you specified, and was sent to you, when
you signed up for your account and click the "OK" button. |
| |
Step
9
You should see a window saying "Web
site published successfully!". |
